Free Trial Sessions & How to Book

We offer a two week free trial lessons to every child trying out a class for the first time. We allow up to two sessions on a trial basis, especially for younger students finding their feet. This is a great opportunity to try a new style or activity and see what is going to suit them best. During the trial lesson, the teacher can assess if they are ready or at a suitable level for the session.

PAYMENT & ENROLMENT INFORMATION

How does payment work?

After your free trial class, payments are billed each calendar month by email. If you join part way through a month you will not be charged for the full month. Please note, you cannot pay for the classes weekly. Monthly memberships are worked out on a pro-rata basis, not necessarily by how many classes are in that calendar month. You can pay by cash, debit/credit card, or Bank Transfer. All payment details are on the bottom of the invoice.

 

How do I register an account for Class Manager?

At the Mischief Musical Theatre, we use a system called Class Manager. We use this to send out emails and invoices. Using the button below, this will take you to the Class Manager page to create an account. You will need an email address in order to register. Next you must fill in your details on the registration page, your registration status will say pending. The Admin team will approve this their end.

Once you have had your account approved, you can download the Class Manager App on the Apple App Store or Android Play Store to view your account and upcoming classes. The system will not allow you to enrol in any classes until it has been authorised by the studio admin team. It will say that there are "No Enrolable Classes" and there won't be an option to pay yet. Please come along to your class anyway, as you will be booked in the class diary.

 

How do I log into my account?

Using the button below, you will be directed to the Class Manager page. Then as you have already registered, you can log in using your email and password you set up. If you don't remember your password, please click "Forgot Password" to reset it.


What happens if I miss a class?

If you miss one of your classes for any reason, the session does not get carried over or refunded.  When you pay for your monthly subscription, you are paying for the studio time and the teachers. If we cancel a class, and cannot offer an alternative session, then we will refund or carry forward any fees. 

 

What are the discounts?

If you have siblings, therer are discounts that will be applied. If you are doing more than one class, there are also discounts applied. There is a chart on the poster above. Discounts do not apply to guest classes such as Mrs Browns Ballet and Show School Project fees.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I choose the correct class for my child?

When you book your trial lesson, you will be asked for details of any previous experience and which classes you are interested in. The staff will advise you which class is most appropriate, based on age and ability.

 

Will parents be allowed in the waiting areas & studio?

For most lessons, parents leave their children in the studio for the class, and there are viewing screens in the cafe waiting area. This is a great way for the children not to get distracted by parents and siblings, but still allows you to enjoy watching your child taking part. In some of our Pre-School classes parents and carers will take an active part in the session. With our Mini students, parents/carers may go into the first few sessions until the student is settled. 

 

What do I do if I need to speak to someone or have a question?

Once you have enrolled you will receive your Member Handbook, this contains lots of useful information which should answer the majority of your queries. Of course we are always here to answer any additional questions you may have and we welcome your thoughts and feedback. As teachers are busy going from class to class, and may not be available to speak to you right away, please ask any of our front of house staff for help. If they are unable to assist, they can take a message and the right person will get back to you as soon as possible. All matters will be dealt with in complete confidence.  

 

Do the classes run throughout the school holidays?

Our Academy classes will now be running all throughout the year. We have set holiday closures at Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks. During some of the school holidays, our regular classes will still run and during the daytimes we may offer workshops and special events depending on availability.   

 

What sort of things go on throughout the year at the studio?

At the studio, we host examinations, shows, awards, concerts and parties. We will send Emails out and you can see all the event dates on the Events Page of the website. We also post events and reminders on our social media pages.

 

What if my child wants to add or drop a class?

If you would like to sign up for another class, or if are looking to drop one of your current classes, we can amend your account at anytime. Please speak to a member of the admin team about any class changes.

 

What if my child moves up to the next class?

If you recieve a letter or advice from one of the teachers that you will be changing classes, don't worry we will update your account accordingly.

 

Facilities & Cafe Arrangements

We will be serving hot and cold drinks, and will have snacks, crisps, and cakes available to purchase. There is also free wifi available in the cafe and waiting areas.   

WHAT TO WEAR

What do I wear to my first class?

To start off with it is fine to wear something comfortable and sensible, suitable for exercise. For example, t-shirt, shorts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms. Footwear can be trainers, or sensible fitting shoes.  Please no skirts, dresses, jeans, sandals, crocs. Hair must be tied back neatly, without hair falling in the face. No jewellery, bracelets, necklaces etc. Small stud earrings may be worn. Once you have started your classes you can order all your uniform and shoes from our in-studio store.

 

Where can I get dancewear & shoes?

We have our own shop at the studio where you can get all your dancewear, shoes & uniform. We can also order items in for you.
