Mischief Musical Theatre

We are a drama and musical theatre company based at The Dance Centre in Bridgend.  Following the success of the Dance Academy Show School projects, we have decided to expand our love of shows and performing and move into the theatre world!  Our facilities offer a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment for students to develop.

The group, which is run by an amazing team of teachers, will be focusing on acting, singing, stagecraft, theory, lighting & sound production.  We will occasionally have guest tutors in to host workshops and cover teachers when needed.

We will be running classes to build technique, confidence, progress through examinations and put on productions.  We want to create a fantastic environment for the students to learn and develop.  The theatre can be such a magical mischievous place and we believe all children should enjoy it!

Concerts & Performances

Congratulations to our students! Their Musical and Drama Show Bright Lights Big city, it was absolutely amazing!

Examinations & Awards

Throughout the year we will be putting students forward for examinations in Drama with the U.K.A, and Acting, and Musical Theatre Singing with LAMDA. There will be opportunities for solo exams and group singing exams.  We will establish which students would like to work toward these awards and will let you know when they are ready.  These types of exams could be held on weekends or a weekday.  We will give the students letters to advise the school that they need the time off, as it is an extra-curricular accredited examination.

Autumn Examinations to be confirmed.   Entries must be 6 weeks in advance.

Presentations

We will be holding a presentation evening twice a year.  This will be to present the examination awards students will have done and to give recognition and merit awards from the teachers.

We are very keen to encourage the students with their achievements and give lots of positive reinforcement of their learning.  All students will be involved, even if they have not taken part in any examinations yet.
